Memory Quilts are custom quilts made from clothing, items, or photos that are provided by you. They are made to celebrate lives, either to memorialize a loved one who has passed away or to honor someone still living. They can be made into wall hangings, pillows, table toppers, or framed art. Or they can be made to wrap us in warmth...as throws, lap-sized, or bed sized quilts.  They make wonderful, personalized gifts in celebration of special occasions, like weddings, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or baby showers.

How are the quilts made?

You can choose a design from my gallery or send me a picture of your own design. The quilt will be made primarily with the items you provide and can include photos or documents that I scan and print onto cloth, as well as clothing such as:

• T-shirts
• Blouses 
• Flannel  or dress shirts
• Neckties or scarves
• Outgrown baby clothes
• Dresses
• Pajamas or gowns

I can also add embroidery or sew on buttons, jewelry, medals, or other items that have special meaning.

The process

Contact me via email at Shirley@MemoryQuiltsByShirley.com to let me know of your interest in my services and I will call you back to discuss design options, prices, and current turn-around times.  You will need to send me the clothing, photos, or other items you wish to be included in the quilt, as well as payment for 50% of the total cost. When the quilt is finished, I will email you a photo of the completed item (s). If satisfied, you will need to submit the unpaid balance and I will ship your order as soon as payment is received.  Note:  If paying by check, the quilt will be shipped as soon as the check has cleared my bank...typically in 5-7 business days.
